Italian designer Dolce & Gabbana has always been lauded for its expertise in social media marketing. In this video exclusive to Luxury Daily, famed blogger Bryan Boy explains what makes Dolce & Gabbana a social media star.
When Bryan Boy was asked to describe what makes Dolce & Gabbana’s social media strategy so powerful, he said that the brand embraced bloggers early on before any other brands. The blogger answered questions at the brand’s men’s fall/winter 2012 show in Metropol, Milan.
“Dolce & Gabbana is a trail blazer,” said Bryan Boy, editor in chief of BryanBoy.com, New York.
“In fashion, most brands are very conservative,” he said. “Other brands wait to see what other people are doing instead of taking risks, but Dolce & Gabbana likes to take risks.”
Dolce & Gabbana believes that social media and bloggers are important to connecting with consumers of their objective views. Bloggers write & blog about the things that like, comment and give important feedback.
Social media networks put the brand and its clients in direct contact and all feedback, be it positive or negative, are taken into consideration from the label’s side for improvement of the brand, according to Dolce & Gabbana.
